Needless to say when we heard Armen Van Helden and his wife said "We love the sneakers, we want a pair of Kingdoms!" we jumped on a Virgin flight to Sydney and rocked to the Beatport Miller Mix party hosted by T1000 events. The party was insane, the crew were lit and we had a killer night! Armand Van Helden is indeed a remarkable DJ and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in house music. Born on February 16, 1970, in Boston, Massachusetts, he has had a career spanning over three decades. Known for iconic tracks like "You Don’t Know Me," "My My My," and "The Funk Phenomena," Van Helden has also made waves as part of the duo Duck Sauce alongside A-Trak, with hits like "Barbra Streisand" achieving global acclaim.

The news that @virgilabloh passed away overnight after losing his battle with cancer was a crushing and unexpected blow. Like many, I’d heard whispers following his sabbatical several years ago, but from afar he seemed rejuvenated and once again working impossible hours as he hatched plans, music and art all over the globe. I guess we now know why Virgil was always hellbent on moving at speed.
To mark Virgil’s untimely passing, we have decided to create a tribute pair of sneakers and the proceeds will go to cancer research. Only two pairs will be sold.
Vale to the late, great, Virgil Abloh. Just 41-years-old, but what an amazing and enduring creative legacy he leaves behind across so many disciplines. More importantly, he dragged the Street to the front doors of the European establishment and kicked them in, busting barriers that had previously excluded Black designers from the highest echelons.
